Katsushika Hokusai, who is said to have produced more than 30,000 works over the course of his artistic career some 260 years ago, continues to captivate people around the world with his compositions and use of color. Even today, his works remain remarkably innovative, displaying an extraordinary range of styles and artistic expression.

For this special collaboration, illustrator iXima depicts Hatsune Miku within the world of Katsushika Hokusai's artwork, creating a synergistic fusion of Hokusai's enduring artistic legacy and passion with Hatsune Miku's ever-innovative spirit.

Comment from iXima:
When drawing character illustrations, my main focus is capturing the essence of line art and translating objects and spaces onto a two-dimensional plane. I feel that ukiyo-e represents both the origin of this approach and one of its perfected forms. I am deeply honored to have been given this opportunity to showcase collaborative works alongside the great masterpieces and cultural traditions that have profoundly influenced me. Hokusai's paintings possess iconic expressions that define each piece-be it the waves in "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" or the cherry blossoms in "Fuji Seen from Goten-yama at Shinagawa, on the Tokaido." These elements blend exceptionally well with Hatsune Miku, who can take on countless forms when combined with different concepts. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece and hope it serves as a gateway for viewers to explore the worlds of both Hokusai and Miku.
