He is also the namesake of the Asai Moonsault, a move he perfected which has become a staple of any high-flying wrestler's o?ense, and one of the few high flying moves even more grounded grapplers will often attempt.

Having trained in Japanese Puroresu and Mexican Lucha Libre, Último Dragón established the Dragon Gym in 1997 to teach his Lucha-Puroresu hybrid wrestling. This has created an entire generation of Lucha-infused Japanese pro wrestlers and the Lucha inspired Toryumon promotion, which later became Dragon Gate.
