Charles Oliveira is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and former UFC Lightweight Champion, widely known for his elite grappling and record-setting submission skills. Born on October 17, 1989, in Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil, Oliveira began training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as a child and earned his black belt at a young age. He joined the UFC in 2010 and quickly gained a reputation for his exciting fighting style and relentless pace. Nicknamed "Do Bronx," Oliveira holds the record for the most submission victories in UFC history.
